LA Regional Workshop – A Day of Learning and Networking

On February 27, 2018, the Association of Donor Relations Professionals held its LA Regional Workshop on the beautiful campus of the University of Southern California. This day of learning was attended by donor relations professionals across industries including higher education, healthcare and environmental organizations. A special thank you to ADRP board member Kristen Batten for her warm welcome to all in attendance.

This dynamic day of learning featured presentations from Loni Roccio, Senior Associate Director of Stewardship, UCLA, who shared how she and her team developed a successful and robust Faculty Engagement Program. Carol Wilkie, Director of Donor Relations, and Joe Plante, AVP, Principal and Leadership Gifts, University of St. Thomas, gave a lively discussion on the importance of using stewardship to drive principal gifts. Cassie Carter, Senior Consultant, Campbell & Company, reinforced the importance of “laying the groundwork,” understanding your organization to increase donor retention. We are so grateful to all of the experts for sharing their successes and learning experiences.

We've included our “Donor Relations Onboarding in 10 Steps,” which was provided to all attendees. We hope you find it helpful. See you next year!
