SEDRC 2020 Session:

Stewardship Portfolio: A Tiered Approach to Inspire Development Officers

Angela Altamore
Senior Director of Stewardship and Donor Engagement

About the Session

Learn about how the Kansas State University Foundation created a tiered approach for individual stewardship plans. Level one focuses on a stewardship toolkit that can be used by Development staff to engage donors in their portfolios. Level two brings a stewardship team member to the table to create a custom plan for major gift donors who have more potential if shown a little extra attention. Level three is the lifetime stewardship level, which identifies donors who have made their ultimate gift and assigns them a stewardship concierge. This model can be scaled as needed and can work across sectors. This popular session from the 2019 International ADRP conference has been updated to share next steps planned for the program and will share new wins that have come from a result of this pilot program.
