Successful people and organizations find ways to stay ahead of the curve. A curve that is moving rapidly and becoming increasingly complex. As donor relations professionals, it is imperative that we stay connected and informed. And our greatest resource is each other.

Major Donor Stewardship That’s Sized to Fit: Individual Stewardship Plans and Personal Stewardship Tracks

Do you have hundreds (thousands?) of major donors who are not in the current pipeline but who will be in the future? At Meridian Health Foundation, we piloted two initiatives to tackle this challenge: individual stewardship plans and personalized stewardship tracks. Using both, we can now steward all our top donors in a personal way.
This webinar will help you overcome that hurdle of “too many donors, not enough resources” and demonstrate how to create individual stewardship plans that are truly custom for x-number of major donors, and personalized stewardship tracks that trigger simple, easy touches for everyone else - together giving all of your major donors the care and attention they deserve.

How long have you worked in donor relations/stewardship and how did you get involved in this profession?
I have been working in Donor Relations for three years. I started out at Columbia as a graduate student, where I found an interest in the operating challenges of a university. One thing that led me to stewardship in particular is the unique opportunity to further an organization’s mission by elevating stories of those who are having an impact. I thrive on sharing the good that is being done.

Do you have a success story you would like to share? How did you handle a particular problem or project that seemed insurmountable? Have you discovered effective tactics that help gain a seat at the table? What are your thoughts on best practices or new, emerging ideas that take a donor relations/stewardship program to the next level?
We want to encourage our members—new and experienced—to share their insights, best practices, and what works (or doesn’t work!) when planning their shop’s programming and responsibilities.
We welcome all submissions related to donor relations and stewardship, but we especially encourage ADRP members to step forward and share their expertise and experiences in the profession.
The submission form is available any time you have an article proposal to submit. We have included the webinar topics for each month, in case you would like to tie your article to a specific webinar topic.
