Peace Out…

After returning from the 2024 International Conference, I am channeling my inner child…hence the “Peace Out” reference. As my term as president comes to a close, I’d like to reflect on the incredible journey we've shared over the past year.

Together, we've tackled challenges, celebrated successes, and continually strived to elevate our profession. Each of you has contributed to our collective achievements, and for that, I am deeply grateful. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals who truly make a difference for ADRP. As we look ahead, I encourage you to carry forward the spirit of collaboration and innovation that has defined our work together.

There’s a quote from the movie Hope Floats (yes, I admit I’m a fan of rom-coms) that has always resonated with me: “Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most.” My first column as president highlighted my fear of failing in this role. And now, a year later, this quote really hits home. The beginning was a little scary and this ending brings some sadness but I am so incredibly proud of everything in the middle.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president. I am excited to see where our shared passion and dedication will lead us next. Here’s to continued success and meaningful connections in all that we do. Scott, tag, you’re it!
