About the Webinar

Are your e-blasts sitting in donor and alumni inboxes unopened? Do your requests for prospect meetings go unanswered? Is it taking more time and more effort to get donor pledges fulfilled? And does the thought of sending yet another follow-up email fill you with dread??

One year into the pandemic and working remotely, these are just some of the challenges we've been facing in advancement. What have we learned in our respective areas, and what can we learn from each other?

In this session, Farida Adam will share the strategies, learnings, and results of donor engagement initiatives implemented at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University (Toronto) over the past year. Through a whole team effort, leveraging existing digital resources, using data to drive strategy, and closely collaborating with teams across the faculty, the advancement team continued to deliver the "surprise and delight" in donor experiences in a completely virtual environment - and saw a measurable increase in donor engagement!

It will be interactive, with breakout rooms to allow for idea sharing in small groups.

Learning Objectives:

  1. How to get your whole team excited to work on new initiatives from home

  2. How to get more connected to your donor in a more digital space

  3. How to book more meetings in a time of Zoom fatigue
