Do you struggle with getting your arms around donor retention? This session will give an in-depth look at Oklahoma State University's efforts to define, understand, and improve donor retention - from an annual giving and major gift standpoint. We plan to share our experiences in working with a cross-functional team and will discuss the challenges and obstacles we faced along the way as we identified recommendations that would drive strategy and retain donors between campaigns.

Cristy Racy, Director of Donor Programs and Engagement, Oklahoma State University Foundation 

Abby Fox, Director of Stewardship and Donor Communications, Oklahoma State University Foundation

Cristy Racy has been with the OSU Foundation since 2013 and brings 15 years of experience in donor relations, development and public relations experience. As Director of Donor Programs and Engagement, Cristy provides strategic direction, leadership and execution of high-level donor recognition and impact initiatives on behalf of the OSU Foundation and University. Cristy and her staff partner with development and leadership staff to recognize and appreciate OSU donors through giving societies, impactful events and meaningful engagement. Her past experience includes fundraising, public relations and event planning.

Abby Fox leads the stewardship team at the Oklahoma State University Foundation, where she began her development career nine years ago. She oversees university-wide stewardship reporting strategies and acknowledgment standards while specializing in impact communication. Her focus is to build relationships and manage projects in a way that improves efficiencies, fosters creativity and enables her team to exceed donor expectations. Her past experience includes marketing and communications, student philanthropy and event planning. Abby earned a B.A. in Journalism and Broadcasting from Oklahoma State University and is a member of the Association of Donor Relations Professionals.
