Marian C. Johnson has over 15 years of experience in Canadian healthcare philanthropy. After spending her early fundraising years cycling through major gifts, corporate partner & foundation grants and planned giving, Marian found her forever home in donor relations in 2012. She is the Director of Donor Experience & Engagement at Women’s College Hospital Foundation in Toronto, Canada. Marian believes meaningful donor engagement, underpinned by best practices, is the cornerstone of the philanthropic industry. Over the past six years at Women’s Marian has applied her personal stamp to the donor engagement program, thoughtfully and strategically building a comprehensive program to foster a culture of deep gratitude. She has completed the Canadian Association of Gift Planner's Original Gift Planning Course, as well as the Harvard ManageMentor Development Series and the LEADS in a Caring Environment Learning Series. Marian holds a BA in Sociology from McMaster University and achieved her certificate in Non-profit & Voluntary Sector Management from Ryerson University.
