Marian Johnson

Marian Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in Canadian Philanthropy with much of that time heavily focused in healthcare. After spending her early fundraising years cycling through major gifts, corporate partner & foundation grants and planned giving, Marian found her forever home in donor relations in 2012. Marian recently transitioned into a new role in higher ed advancement and is currently leading the donor relations and stewardship team at Western University in London, Ontario. In this newly created role, Marian provides strategic and operational leadership to a high-performing team of donor relation professionals, to ensure a consistent, meaningful and equitable experience for donors at all levels across the University. Marian deeply believes that meaningful donor engagement, underpinned by best practices, is the cornerstone of the philanthropic industry. Having recently relocated from Toronto to London for her new job, in her spare time Marian is enjoying exploring her new city.
