In this interactive session, you will hear about ways to tell if you were born to be a donor relations professional, if you have simply learned to be one, or if it’s time to seek bright lights and big opportunities elsewhere. Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Betty Meehan

Betty Meehan, CFRE,  is Director of Donor Relations at Augusta University. She has over 25 years of Advancement experience in higher education and health care. She has been at Augusta University since 2002, serving in various capacities—including major giving and advancement communications. Meehan currently serves as its first Donor Relations professional; and, like many of her Donor Relations colleagues, has aspirations to grow the department.  A CFRE since 2000, Meehan was named Fundraising Professional of the Year by the Greater Augusta Chapter of the AFP in 2003. A graduate of Leadership Augusta, Meehan is also a founding member and serves on the board of Women in Philanthropy for the Central Savannah River Area. She is past Chair of the Family Y of Greater Augusta’s Metro Board and its Endowment Board. Meehan earned a master’s degree in English from Georgia Southern University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Augusta University.
