Engagement

Professional school graduates and donors are cut from a different cloth than those of undergraduate programs. More heavily invested in their educational experience, these constituents present unique considerations for stewardship and engagement.

Immersed in their professional life, they expect top-tier results and next-day delivery. When your professional school graduates finally have their assistants block time on the calendar for your meeting, how do you deliver an experience that will bring them back for more? We will examine a selection of donor engagement and stewardship techniques from a professional school and attempt to answer the question “What do you get the donor who has, and sometimes wants, everything?”

Matthew Schueller

Matthew Schueller is in his sixth year as a donor relations professional with the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Matthew earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and MFA from University of California-Los Angeles. When not on the “thank you” side of philanthropy, Matthew has enjoyed participating in activities with Habitat for Humanity, Golden Gate National Recreational Area, and other local community-oriented philanthropic adventures.
