Creating a recognition program for campaign volunteers is an essential part of any campaign. The challenges with this is ensuring the recognition elements are different from those of your donor recognition programs. Especially given that these volunteers are also donors to the organization. Other factors to consider are the various types of campaign cabinets you will have i.e. National, Regional and Faculty; therefore, the recognition elements have to be tailored to the various levels. Learn how we developed our program, see what works and doesn't and how we have encouraged our Senior Administration and Faculties to get involved in the program.

Kelly is currently the Director of Scholarships and Stewardship for the University of Ottawa. She has been working in the field of fundraising for 14 years, of which six have been in the area of Donor Relations. Over the past six years, she has created strong linkages within the University community that have improved donor relation initiatives. In addition, she and her team have developed a donor relations program that includes various levels of the Administration in their recognition/stewardship initiatives. More recently, they created an Attitude of Gratitude on campus in conjunction with philanthropy month, where they encouraged students to write personalized messages to their loyal donors.
