Stewardship plans are essential to managing and strengthening the relationships we have with our donors. But how do you establish a stewardship plan program? More importantly, how do you create buy-in and put the plans to work for your donors? In this presentation, we will cover how to establish a stewardship plan, outline steps that should be taken, and things to consider. We will also look at ways to leverage technology to make the production and management of plans easier and more efficient. Join us to learn how to bring stewardship plans to life! 

 

Laura Castillo

Laura Castillo is the Donor Relations Manager at Florida International University and has been a member of the Donor Relations team for eight years. In this role, she is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with university community members to successfully implement stewardship programs across the university. Laura's areas of focus are acknowledgments, reporting, scholarship administration and custom stewardship plans.   
 

Frances Rodriguez

Frances Rodriguez is Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship at Florida International University (FIU), from where she holds a Master and Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Finance. She brings more than nine years of experience in advancement for higher education, six of which have been in donor relations. Frances, promoted from within, led the rebuild and growth of Donor Relations at FIU by developing policies, implementing projects, and streamlining existing processes. Under her leadership, the team has won the following awards: CASE Circle of Excellence's 2013 Gold Award for the 2011-2012 FIU Foundation Annual Report; CASE District III's 2013-14 Award of Excellence for the  2011-2012 FIU Foundation Annual Report; CASE Circle of Excellence's 2014 Gold Award for the Birthday Stewardship Program and the Silver Award for the #FIUthanks Day..
