When change is rapid and unprecedented - consolidation of two Universities; a name change (two!); new leadership; a first-ever comprehensive campaign - how does a Donor Relations shop respond to ensure good donor stewardship and to preserve and enhance relationships with both internal and external constituents?

Learn the strategies that Donor Relations employed to 1) steward its donors in new and strategic ways; 2) partnered with the Colleges to ensure robust information exchange and to enhance donor relations; 3) worked within a complex environment to introduce new and exciting recognition programs and events.

 

Vicky Medlock

Vicky Medlock is a 30-year advancement veteran serving higher education and association programs. Her experience encompasses advancement services, research, donor relations and events, annual giving, campaign programming, finance and operations, human resources and training, strategic planning and board relationships. Vicky joined Georgia Regents University in 2014 as the Associate Vice President for Advancement Operations. She held prior positions at Shenandoah University, the University of South Florida, University of Florida, and the University of Cincinnati. Vicky is a recipient of CASE's Crystal Apple Teaching Award and is a founding member and Past President of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals.

 

 

Betty Meehan, CFRE

Betty Meehan, CFRE, is Director of Donor Relations at Georgia Regents University, an Academic Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She has over 25 years of Advancement experience in higher education and health care. A CFRE since 2000, Betty was named Fundraising Professional of the Year by the Greater Augusta Chapter of AFP in 2003. A graduate of Leadership Augusta, she currently serves as the Vice-Chair of Women in Philanthropy for the Central Savannah River Area and as Chair of the Endowment Board for the Family Y of Greater Augusta.  She enjoys reading and traveling and loves working in Donor Relations.
