This presentation will include a brief introduction to a few of the most popular social media tools and then dive into HOW, WHEN, and WHY we must use these tools in Donor Relations. The discussion will include brilliant examples from the cyberworld, people and companies you should follow or like, and how to craft those messages to ensure they are relevant.  

 

Kourtney Beckman

Kourtney has been in the philanthropy field professionally since 2000 becoming a Certified Fundraising Executive in 2010.  She has held various roles with The National Ballet School, University of Waterloo, St. Mary's General Hospital Foundation and currently Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region as Fund Development Manager. Her experience ranges from national campaigns, events, communications, leadership and legacy giving to strategic development planning and individualized stewardship plans. She has presented at AFP Congress, ADRP International Conferences and Waterloo Wellington Fundraising Executives. Kourtney is a past member of the ADRP Board and co-chair of ADRP's first Canadian workshop held in 2015.
