The Next Evolution in Recognition Programs

Three years ago, the Stewardship Department at the University of Michigan embarked upon a journey to study, evaluate, and improve upon our lifetime giving recognition program - the Presidential Societies. After forming a campus-wide task force, interviewing numerous staff and fundraisers, and surveying an array of donors, we discovered that the current Society was not a recognition tool worth revising; rather, we needed to envision (or evolve into) something more straightforward, flexible and donor-centric. Angela will share the data used in making this decision, the process for revitalizing our recognition programs, and what we see as the next steps in the transition.
