Effective and Meaningful Donor Events: Planning in Advance and Reacting on the Fly

Are you new to event planning, or looking to spruce up your current donor event? This session will prepare you with the tools to effectively plan and organize, and how to prepare for thinking on the fly when things don't go quite as you planned them. You will learn about the potential problems that may occur, and who the key players are for planning your day. We will also look at 2 case studies, and share examples of creative ideas within our group.

Audience Expertise Level: Newcomer (0- 2 years), Midlevel (2-5 years)

Shana DiCamillo

Shana DiCamillo is Donor Relations Coordinator at Niagara University, in NY. She has worked in Development at the University at Buffalo, and the Music Academy of NC, where she also taught music lessons. Her experience varies from participating in and organizing events at small non profits to institutions of higher education. She currently manages donor stewardship and acknowledgement, scholarship reporting and oversight, gift agreements, and donor events at Niagara.
