Survey Success: Best Practices in Collecting Donor Feedback

Wednesday, September 17
1:30 - 2:30 PM

Everyone wants to know: How are we doing? Wouldn't it be great to know what your donors think? To have concrete feedback to show leadership a return on investment and to shape the direction of your donor relations program? The best way to measure effectiveness and return on investment for donor engagement strategies is to ask our donors how we are doing. It sounds simple, but good results depend on careful goal setting, planning and execution. In this session we will share best practices gathered through research and experience. We'll cover the major elements of a survey: purpose, audience, vehicle, content and analysis/action. Whether you want to try small post-event surveys to launch an institution-wide survey, this session will provide concrete techniques for success.
